Welcome to Clear Budgeting. By using our App, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Clear Budgeting ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Clear Budgeting is a personal finance application that allows you to:

• Track income and expenses
• Categorize and organize transactions
• Set budgets and savings goals
• Share financial data with family members
• Scan and process receipts
• Sync data across multiple devices

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Features

Basic budgeting features are available for free, including transaction tracking, categories, and basic reporting.

Pro Subscription

Premium features require a Pro subscription, including:

• Cloud sync across devices
• Family sharing
• Receipt scanning
• Advanced reporting

Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through the Apple App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• Prices may change with notice; continued use constitutes acceptance

5. Family Sharing

If you use the family sharing feature:

• The family owner is responsible for creating and managing the family group
• All family members can view and edit shared financial data
• Any family member can leave the group at any time
• The family owner can remove members, which revokes their access to shared data
• Family sharing requires an active Pro subscription from the family owner

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Clear Budgeting and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our written permission.

8. Your Data

Ownership

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into the App. We do not claim ownership of your personal financial information.

Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. The App performs calculations based on your input, and we are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect data entry.

Backup

While we maintain backups of your data, we recommend periodically exporting important information. We are not liable for data loss.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

THE APP IS NOT INTENDED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. CONSULT QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS FOR SUCH ADVICE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEAR BUDGETING AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Any financial decisions made based on App data or calculations
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any interruption or cessation of service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Clear Budgeting and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the App.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ends immediately
• Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Pennsylvania.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clear Budgeting regarding the use of the App.
